choosing an electric pressure washer
I am a gas free house in terms of lawn care and other equipment. So a gas powered pressure washer was never in the cards for myself. The primary reason I was looking for a pressure washer was to strip my daughters play yard for re-staining. I had made the mistake of just staining over the finish that came on the play set and within a year or Texas summer the stain was failing. I watched several YouTube videos on electric pressure washers. Ultimately it came down between the Ryobi and Greenworks. I have Ryobi for all of my smaller shop tools but based on my research it is not built to the same quality as the Greenwork Pro series of pressure washers. I ultimately purchased the 2700 PSI version in lieu of the current maximum of 3000 PSI on electric pressure washers.
Pros:
- Kink resistant hose.
- Solid frame
- Fair base wand
Cons:
- 25′ Hose
- Screw Fittings
- Long wand
I did immediately purchase several upgrades that unfortunately are required, IMO, if you plan on using your electric pressure washer for anything other than stripping.
